Finarte in collaboration with Urania Casa d’Aste presents a special auction entirely dedicated to the world of comics. More than 100 works by the most influential cartoonists and illustrators of the 20th century are the core of the Oliva collection, a critic, writer, and one of Italy's foremost experts on comics, who died prematurely in 2017.

Thanks to a selection resulting from years of research, you will be able to follow an excursus that spans the entire 20th century: from the fathers of Italian graphics such as Matania, Luzzati, Pinter and Mattotti, to the great European authors of the ninth art such as Bilal, Moebius, Manara, Munoz and Toppi, and on to American cartoonists such as Crumb, Toth, Caniff, King and Gould.

A catalogue full of fascinating and timeless works for all lovers of visual art.

The auction will be preceded by an exhibition to offer collectors the opportunity to carefully examine all the lots, presented and enhanced by the splendid setting of our exhibition venue.
